Happy New Year, everyone! Since it's the first Monday of the year, I thought I might set a good precedent by popping in to say hi to you lovely people, share a few fun photos, and ramble a bit.
So many bloggers share their top ten from the year before, but honestly, I don't even have a top ten, given that I missed almost a year of blogging. I can honestly say that beginning again is one of the best decisions I made in 2015! Being back here with you all has kept me motivated and somewhat sane at the same time.
I was chatting online with Stacey this morning about our Word of the Year (you can see hers here). Although I do have plenty of goals for creating lovely vignettes and meaningful moments this year, the one thing I need most is to be productive! Doing One Room Challenge definitely brought to light how hard it is for me to make decisions! Many of them drag on far too long, and that can't happen if I'm going to accomplish every thing I hope to this year!
So what else is going on in this new year? I have so many plans for projects that will challenge me to get out of my comfort zone and do more!
At the top of the list is attending Haven Conference, meeting more of my online blogging pals, and even meeting some of my local readers! Stay tuned for some fun meet-ups I have in mind for us :)
And of course, so many of my plans revolve around updating and upgrading this 89-year-old house of ours. On the list is a back patio refresh, revamping our little potting shed, and another round of One Room Challenge! This time I think our master bedroom will be the victim :)
Another goal of mine is to fully decorate our home for each holiday and each season, just as I did when Abby still lived at home. Just for the two of us, because why not?! All in all, I plan to live more, decorate more, enjoy more, living every day to the full! And do a better job of sharing it with you all.
I'll be updating my side bar and scheming up new posts to share with you later this week, and can't wait to jump into 2016!
I can't thank you all enough for taking time out of your day to read this blog, and for leaving so many encouraging comments. Let's all live 2016 to the full together! I would love to hear some of your ideas for the new year :)
See y'all soon! xo, Andrea

You came back with a bang this year! I love everything you've done. I was just going to ask if you were planning to do the One Room Challenge again. That was so much fun but your project was huge and turned out amazingly! Looking forward to so much more. ;)

I love your blog! And I sure missed reading them last year while you were away; so happy you're back ;)
I love your style and think you've done such an amazing job with your home. Looking forward to what 2016 holds.
I do live in the DFW area so can't wait to see what kind of meet n greet you might come up with for readers (I'm not a blogger, just a die-hard reader of them!).

You have inspired me to do more!
I love what you said, "All in all, I plan to live more, decorate more, enjoy more, living every day to the full! And do a better job of sharing it with you all. "
Happy New Year!

Hi,
I love the rug under the wicker chairs in your sitting room. Can you tell me anything about it...where you found it or the brand?
Thanks.

Oh NO......say it isn't so..... Your master bedroom is my favorite room in all of blogdom!!!! Surely you didn't say you were going to change it..........
Oh well, I know it will be beautiful if you DO change it, but I'm saving every picture of the old room, that I can get my grubby paws on!! While I have been cleaning away all of the Christmas lovelies, I have been considering the red and white toile curtains that are loafing in the attic, for the dining room. Which of course, made me think of you!!
I will be watching to see what beauty you create, but still wistful for the gorgeous old room.
Blessings to you in this nice new year!
