Reveal day is finally here! We did it, and now our former kitchen nook and craft area is transformed to a more adult-friendly sitting area! This tiny 44-square-foot space was crowded with a table that was too large, uncomfortable chairs, and a towering bookcase full of items we no longer used. It has become the perfect spot for us to hang out now that the nest is empty. I'm officially calling it the Empty Nesters' Lounge :)
I'm not going to chat much about the room, but rather show you the end result! The stories and sources really deserve a post of their own, so I'll come back with that post in the next day or two.
Did you all see the featured designers' reveals yesterday? I could hardly take it all in, with so much fabulousness on one day. You can see the rest of the linking participants' reveals at Calling It Home here, I know I can't wait to see everyone's rooms! I just can't thank Linda enough for this event. There were a few moments during this adventure that I wanted to call it quits, but would I do it again? In a heartbeat! I sort of wanted to cry with happiness when we called it done, and now I sort of want to cry with sadness because it's over. ORC is a special experience. There something magical about the comaraderie felt with the almost 200 other bloggers who are in the same predicament of failed projects and missed timelines, as well as the elation of success. I'm truly exhilarated from the experience, but dang, Momma needs a nap :)
Also, I just can't thank you all enough for hanging in there with me during this last six weeks! I'm reallllly looking forward to getting back to some regular blogging. Thank you so much for coming by, for your sweet messages and support here and on my Facebook page and Instagram.
To take a look back at how far we've come, On Week One we Made the Decision, on Week Two we Found Shiplap, on Week Three there was Plenty of Shopping, on Week Four we finally had White Walls and Some Sneak Peeks, and on Week Five we had to make some Changes to our Plan.
Love to you all! xoxo, Andrea

Andrea, this is absolutely stunning! Way to go friend. All the colors and patterns are masterfully mixed. You need to do a post or two about the many ways you've transformed things in that room. I know you and you are the thrifting and painting queen.
