It's rain, rain and more rain for us here in Texas right now! You won't hear me complaining though, because our state needs it so badly. Every inch is being soaked up by our thirsty gardens, our lakes are filling up again, and the dusty roads and sidewalks are being washed clean!
My day sure was brightened by this gorgeous mum that Maurie picked up at Whole Foods. How perfect is it for this vintage apple basket that I found in Canton last weekend?!! And when the skies clear, I'll have a story for you, and photos of a room we redid quickly last week, just in time to welcome our girl home for Texas/OU weekend!
Happy Monday to you all :)
xoxo
Your mums look so pretty in the basket.
We've had a little bit of rain too!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

What a great mum plant for that basket. I remember USING those baskets when I was a kid. They were filled with apples from our old orchard down behind the barns. I haven't seen one in years. They had that same red/green banding on them.

Our son lives in TX so I know hat you mean about needing rain! He's coming for a visit on Thursday - can't wait.
Enjoy your mum!

Yes Ma'am...we are enjoying the rain each week and the much cooler temps!! Hubster mentioned turning on the heat yesterday, but we managed to scrape by with a small space heater on the hearth, a furry fabric bed for Posie cat, and flannel shirts for we oldies!!
Your mum is beautiful and I love the basket!! I am jealous of your trip to Canton...maybe we will get over there in the spring.
Happy Fall Y'all!
