And do we ever have plenty of it here.
All the Christmas boxes are down. But nothing is really decorated, because I have lost my mind and decided that I'm going to slap a fresh coat of paint on every room before I decorate. You know, in my extra time :)
And since some of the molding had a huge gap in the bathroom, I pulled it out and thought I could replace it. Then noticed that some of the sheetrock behind it had disinegrated. It was definitely an uh-oh moment. But my knight in shining in armor came up with a great idea -- beadboard! So I'm getting beadboard wainscoting on at least one wall in our little bathroom. As we speak! Can I get a yippee?!!!
Oh and I really need to ship holiday goodies to the college kids, since they will all begin to travel home next week. So there's a little baking going on, too.
Did I mention that I was out of commission for two days with a little bug? Better now, though.
AND, since we didn't have enough chaos already, Maurie decided to change satellite providers. Today. In the middle of mayhem. Say a prayer for the installation guy. When he walks in here, we'll be lucky if he doesn't call 911 and ask them to send an emergency crew :)
I'm pretty sure you all didn't want to see any of the aforementioned chaos, so I thought I would share the one area that is decorated. My tutorial for the dyed bottle brush trees, using leftover tie dye, is here.
Some of you are done, aren't you? Tell me all about it! I'll come visit when I need a break from mayhem :)
xo, Andrea

Andrea, this is too funny! I can't believe you're tackling all of that in the middle of holiday decorating! LOL! I finally got the tree finished and posted...and now, it's on to tabletops! I found a method to the madness!!

LOL! Well, I have one up on you! I moved the Monday after Thanksgiving. I mean who does that? Me :-).
So My house all needs to be painted and I can't put things on bookcases or hutches, because they need to be moved so I can paint. There was not enough time to paint before we moved. Crazy....
Hugs,
Penny

What a beautiful display! I really love how you've incorporated your milk glass into your Christmas decor. I love milk glass too, and have the same quilted compote that you do:) Oh, and I love how you mixed ornaments in with the oranges, what a fun idea!

It always rolls one thing into the other, doesn't it, Andrea. Especially at the holidays when you are trying to get everything done so you can enjoy it a bit. I'm a little ahead of the game today {that could change tomorrow}. I've got my decorating all done, but I'm still working on buying gifts.

You do seem to have a lot on your plate right now, but your decorations you do have up are looking amazing! Good Luck!

Oh, Andrea, that is so typical of how things go at my house! I decide to clean one window sill, then I realize it needs to be touched up, but then the trim around it looks bad, so I have to paint that, too, and then I notice the window is dirty, so I wash that, then realize the screen is dirty--!
Love your decorations! Done?---uhhh, I am thinking about starting to plan to begin pulling them out of the attic.

Your photography makes your beautiful things POP! I love all your milk glass. I too am a collector. So glad you are using them for decoration and not just keeping them in a cabinet.
We found your beautiful blog at the French Country Cottage party.

Wow, you are in busy chaos, aren't you? Your kitchen vignettes look absolutely adorable, so just keep looking at those, okay? And yes, I am finished and have been for a week -- sorry, please don't throw anything at me!

Hi, I just want to say thank you for the sock pumpkins I won last month. They are adorable and I got so many compliments on them. I had them on my server. See pix below. Thanks again. I really love them!

Your Christmas decorations look lovely. You have inspired me to use my milk glass collection in my Christmas decorating too. because yours looks so pretty. Hadn't thought to use it for Christmas in all of the years I've had it.
