Today I set a simple table for us out in the garden, where it was sunny and breezy and just completely gorgeous. It was an opportunity to relax, enjoy our lunch in the lovely spring weather, and my chance to do something pretty for Tablescape Thursday.
A vintage lace tablecloth, found last spring, is the perfect size for our tiny table for two.
These black-and-white transferware plates have been favorites of mine for about 10 years now. They’re New England Toile, by Tabletops Unlimited. I wish they were still available!
This faux pearl-handled flatware is a great substitution for the real thing! Like so many other bloggers, I found these at Big Lots last summer.
I definitely took inspiration from other bloggers for this year’s Easter decorations. These sparkly eggs were the creative genius of Amy at Inspire Company. When I saw this idea, I knew it was the perfect project for me! Vintage paperbacks, vintage buttons, and glitter, right up my alley. This one large egg sits in a vintage milk glass dish that belonged to my grandmother.
These small eggs were decorated with leftover ribbon and vintage lace trim, vintage buttons and even a freshwater pearl.
A diminutive ivy plant sits in a gravy boat, adding a little bit of spring to our table.
I hope you’ll sit outside for lunch the next chance you get, and enjoy a little bit of nature!
Please stop by Between Naps on the Porch, and visit Susan for Tablescape Thursday.
Love those toile plates and the decorated eggs are gorgeous.

Oh my, Andrea...where do I start? The linens you've used are just exquisite! I love anything cut-work like that. I can do some designs like it on my sewing machine but it takes a good bit of time & effort.
The eggs are wonderful, too. I had not seen them before so I'm off to hunt down directions.
I want to wish you & your family a wonderfully joyous & blessed Easter!

Hello,
We recently purchased a complete set of these dishes at a tag sale, however, we haven't been able to find out much about the history of them (i.e., where they could be purchased, the year of the dishes). Do you by any chance know of any information about these dishes? If you do, would you be so kind and share it with us?
Thank you.

I came across this post while looking for a places to list my dishes, and I did want to let you know that I have a rather extensive collection of Tabletops Unlimited New England Toile. It includes a dinner and tea set for 6 (plus 1 extra spare set). It's 65 pieces, including some rare and hard to find items. I recently posted it for sale and if you or anyone you know is interested in it, please let me know. I have pictures in the ad, and can send more if anyone wants to contact me.
Thanks, Oren

I am interested in duplicating the pretty eggs. I see wording on them, but it's not mentioned. Did you decoupage sheet music on them? Would love some detailed directions, although I think I could somewhat copy them. Very pretty!
