Amidst the Christmas frenzy, I’m having a blast over here with my newly acquired Snow Village pieces. My mom has been collecting these for years. She moved recently and decided that there was no room in her condo-cottage for the beloved holiday houses.
Lucky me!
Sadly, the sorting and unpacking endeavor has not produced the Snow Village accessories. In a pinch, I shamelessly copied Alicia Paulson’s display technique from her fantastic blog, Rosy Little Things. The pieces sit atop boxes, books and cake plates draped in simple light strands. The entire table was then swathed in two layers of an old white linen tablecloth. At night the “hills” cast a beautiful soft glow. I purchased only a few trees, knowing that more will be on their way. I am hopeful that cows, deer and other folks, will soon be making their way through the snowy scene.
We have icy trees
Snowy trees too
Need. More. Cows.
