To get another holiday decorating week started off right, I have two simple craft projects to show today. It's Brag Monday today at The Graphics Fairy, and on Tuesday I will join Kate at Centsational Girl for her Christmas Craft Party.
These sweet vintage Santa heads from Karen at The Graphics Fairy just charmed me! I thought they were the perfect image to highlight in the center of a simple pleated circle ornament. Of course my choice was this year's favorite, vintage sheet music. I'm still making things with it, and I can't seem to stop!
These pleated rounds are so easy to make! You'll find a tutorial for them here, along with instructions for my tiny wreath ornament, also made from vintage sheet music. I made these from two 5 inch wide strips of sheet music, cut crosswise.
I printed the images on ivory cardstock, but you could use white, also. Cut out, leaving a scant 1/8 inch margin around the edge. Paint on a generous amount of white glue around the edge, then dip into your favorite glitter. This is just simple, inexpensive glitter from Hobby Lobby. Hot glue to your ornament, add some pretty silver ribbon for a hanger, and you're done. Lots of sparkle and a great vintage look. Thank you Karen, for the great vintage images!
The next ornament is a total copycat from one of my very fave blogging pals, the talented and creative Brenda at Cozy Little House. If you haven't been to visit her lately, you'll be smitten by the warmth and charm of her home at the holidays! She did this great tutorial last week, and I couldn't copy it fast enough.
The only change I made was the addition of some glitter around the edges of the birdie and its wing, because I can't seem to stop glittering things, either. Thanks for the idea, Brenda! These are going to be so pretty on our tree, and my family will love getting them, tied to their Christmas presents.
I hope you'll try some of these for your own home! I'm joining The Graphics Fairy for her Brag Monday, which showcases clever projects that were made using her beautiful images. I'm also joining Kate at Centsational Girl for her Christmas Craft Party. Please stop by and see their holiday cheer!

I love the glitter! Why didn't I do that? I had some glitter, but haven't gotten around to using it yet. I love your wreath ornament! I've been attempting to make those, but have not had much luck yet. Your birds are so, so cute with the glitter!
